You can’t really have a logical world we’re the government must rely on masked vigilantes to handle criminal in it’s own borders and be bright. It existed for a reason, to justify the superhero setting with stuff like the unwritten rules or revolving door.

I never had a problem with the overall darkness. Power mechanics were fun to read-I would have loved more powers like Velocity’s. Why am I receiving Lisa’s backstory in the middle of the leviathan fight?Īs for stuff I like I enjoyed the characters especially the one’s that were introduced in interludes. There is a tendency to dump exposition at extremely inconvenient times. Many things in the story have good in-universe justifications that aren’t shown clearly enough. I felt that we could have used more worldbuilding-not of cosmic shard stuff- but of Brockton situations like Winslow’s bad gang problem* or the nasty stuff the E88 does. I also felt that the high school drama was incredibly tedious, and that Wildbow could have handled race better. It's this bizarre thing, Worm is way too freaking long for it's own good, focuses on various things and then ignores other perfectly decent or interesting ideas.

Seriously, she just up and leaves the Wards like nothing after the time skip and they don't seem to really care either, even her protege's reaction is suprisingly "meh" at the end of it all, seriously, years working with a new team seem to have changed ZERO things related to Taylor to a point where i really wonder what was the point of it all, everything could have happened the same way without her joining the wards.oh no, in this battle, i randomly got separated from my team and now have to hang out with these guys for now, oh look at that, Theo got trained by someone else. Too damn long and somehow full of details that don't really matter or not focusing on potentially interesting plots, so Taylor joins the Wards after becoming a freaking warlord and killing Alexandria, okay, i guess i will now read several arcs of Taylor meeting and interacting with these new characters and forming new bonds or we can have a time skip where she trained Golem in said time skip and nothing seems to have happened as Taylor apparently just sat in a corner avoiding everyone and complaining about how she misses the Undersiders and that they are her only friends.
